The agreement has been signed by Miloš Bugarin, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Prof. Dr Branko Kovačević, Rector of the University of Belgrade, in the aim of promoting the need for closer cooperation between educational institutions and the business sector, in order to provide the youth in our country with suitable practical education,

 The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Belgrade University have inked an agreement aimed at closer cooperation between the business and scientific sectors, with a special focus on research and development, as well as participation in joint projects, particularly European programmes – TEMPUS, FP7 and CIP.

The agreement has been signed by Miloš Bugarin, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Prof. Dr Branko Kovačević, Rector of the University of Belgrade, in the aim of promoting the need for closer cooperation between educational institutions and the business sector, in order to provide the youth in our country with suitable practical education,

- Student practice provides young people with a unique opportunity to experience business rules and a system of work through practice, thus adding up to the knowledge obtained at the university. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce continues to promote the idea of the need for closer cooperation and transfer of knowledge and skills, in order to harmonise higher education with the Bologna Declaration, and provide the business sector with better educated and quality human resources – highlighted Miloš Bugarin, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The agreement between the two institutions will contribute to the development and support to projects related to life-time education in the business sector, and the establishment of a framework for the implementation of expert practice of students in the business sector.

It will also link the University to practical problems encountered by the business sector, primarily through the selection of subjects for master and PhD papers.

- Cooperation between the Serbian Chamber Commerce and Belgrade University is of huge significance. Our objective is to create a healthy business environment in Serbia, similar to stable, prosperous and healthy markets we strive to – explained Prof. Dr Branko Kovačević, Rector of Belgrade University, adding that the University should educate students in accordance with needs of the business sector.
