Provision on renewable energy sources in FBiH presented

The purpose of this provision is to instigate larger production and usage of electric energy from renewable sources in internal market and development of regulatory and technical infrastructure in this segment.

Provision on usage of renewable energy sources, in the draft form was presented today at the round table organized by FBiH Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.

The purpose of this provision is to instigate larger production and usage of electric energy from renewable sources in internal market and development of regulatory and technical infrastructure in this segment.

FBiH PM Mustafa Mujezinovic in his welcoming speech stated that the government is fully dedicated to pay more attention to energy, transport and communications until the end of its mandate.

"These are the only opportunities we have at disposal to increase economic growth in FBiH and the only hope s with construction of new facilities for benefit of all citizens of BiH", said Mujezinovic.

He stated that the country has great potential in these segments and no one has the right to slow down these processes, especially when it comes to construction of electric energy facilities, especially those relying on renewable sources.

FBiH Government wants to start with investments in this segment, and even though our priority lies in starting of investments in thermal and hydro energy, but since there is a large interest for this type, we want to cover this area with legislation as well", said Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Vahid Heco.

This document is adjusted with EU laws and directives.

The purpose of this round table was gathering of opinions and suggestions for the development of such provision and Minister Heco stated that this document could reach FBiH Government in 15 days.

After the provision is completed, FBiH Government will move towards development of the law, taking into consideration vast field this matter covers.
