Italy to support the establishment of Kosovo armed forces

Minister Crosetto  visiting the Italian KFOR troops, said that Italy will continue its cooperation with the Government of Kosovo in all the fields, including the creation of the Kosovo armed forces KSF.

The Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi received yesterday the Italian Deputy Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto.

Minister Crosetto is visiting the Italian KFOR troops.He said that Italy will continue its cooperation with the Government of Kosovo in all the fields, including the creation of the Kosovo armed forces KSF.

I have come here to visit the Italian members of KFOR and I could not leave without meeting our friends – the Kosovo institutional representatives, said the Italian Deputy Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto.

He thanked the people of Kosovo for welcoming the Italian KFOR representatives and making them feel like in their homes. Crosetto said that Italy will continue its support for Kosovo.

“We are carefully following the first steps of EULEX mission. The Italian support in this direction will not be missing; therefore, we will always be your ally. We will also financially support the creation of the Kosovo Security Force,” Minister Guido Crusetto stressed.

Wishing a merry Christmas to the Italian members of KFOR, the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi thanked Italy for its support given to Kosovo. Kosovo will try to build its own mechanisms based on the standards of the European Union, said Kuçi. “We are ready to cooperate in all the areas, including the creation of the Kosovo Security Force,” Kuçi said.
